In 1962, Juan B. Just, co-owner of the rubber figure manufacturer Munte Abelló, joined forces with the Valencia Toy Trade Fair to launch the professional magazine of the Spanish toy industry, JUGUETES Y JUEGOS DE ESPAÑA, which in 2009 was renamed JUGUETES b2b. The magazine has ever since been a driving force on the Spanish toy industry.
This publication was one of the main catalysts behind the creation in 1967 of the Inter-Union Association of Toy Manufacturers, currently known as the Spanish Association of Toy Manufacturers (AEFJ, in its Spanish acronym). And it also successfully opened the door to foreign markets, arranging the first ever group trips to the international toy fairs in Nuremberg, Lyon and Tokyo.
Following on from this magazine, Maria Dolores Just, the founder's daughter and subsequent CEO of the publishing house, teamed up with her son Emili Alsina Just in 1992 to launch PUERICULTURA Market, a professional magazine covering baby and early childhood products, drawing on the intrinsic link between these two specialist industries.
In 1998, Maria Dolores Just and Emili Alsina Just, current director of Ediciones Just, teamed up again and launched LICENCIAS Actualidad, a professional journal for the licensing business. This sector is closely linked to the toy industry, given the importance of licences as a product marketing strategy in the sectors that the publishing house already targeted.
In 2011, Ediciones Just launched Key4Communications, a brand new online B2B communication platform for professionals from the toy & game, childcare and licensing industries, not just in Spain, but also in all other markets where these activities are present. This website was revamped in 2014, giving the magazines their own presence in the Spanish market.
Ediciones Just has renewed and updated its online platform in 2017, creating a unique website for each media (JUGUETES b2b, PUERICULTURA Market and LICENCIAS Actualidad) with a fully responsive design that makes it easier to read all content from any mobile device. It has also built a corporate website for the company.
